A sense of the ocean permeates all layers of this fresh, taut fragrance. Here, it’s a primordial, mythological sea. Beginning with the form of the sea shell, and giving birth to the goddess of beauty. Surrealistically symbolic, as in the work of French cineaste Germaine Dulac, where strong desire and sexuality are never far beneath the shimmering surface. Fresh and beautiful, but not without an undertow.
Atlante is a marine composition by Sarah Baker. The creator of the fragrance is Sarah McCartney. The composition includes ingredients such as: yuzu, seaweed, iris, lily of the valley, pink pepper, wet rock, cedar, ambergris, seashells, driftwood. The opening of the fragrance is fresh sea aromas combined with the sun-heated smell of shells and wood from the sea. The fragrance is aromatic, fresh and joyful. This is not the typical smell of the ocean depths, but the smell of everything that the sea washed up on the beach, and the sun warmed it. It’s sand, shells, wood and seaweed and a fresh ocean breeze. In the next stage, the smell is even slightly animal thanks to the notes of ambergris. The fragrance is crowned with a mix of powdery and woody notes announcing a warm sunset and the beginning of a cool evening.
The parameters of the fragrance are very good. The composition lasts up to 12 hours. The projection is top notch. Atlante is a fragrance that takes us to a specific place, and what happens on our skin is a wonderful story that will be slightly different for everyone. I love Sarah Baker for this!
