“With Parfum d´Empire, I wanted to reconnect with the primary meaning of perfume, the one found in all cultures: eroticism and the sacred. Because at all times seduction and spirituality constitute the deepest meaning of perfume, its original truth. Love conquest, spiritual conquest, self-conquest … perfume is conquest, perfume is exploration.” Parfums d’Empire official website
Aziyade is a warm spicy fragrance that opens with notes of caraway, cinnamon and incense with a large amount of aromatic notes of cardamom. The fragrance develops on a sweet base of plum and dates. The composition is intense and incredibly deep. In addition to the sweet and syrupy note of dried dates, we also get a lot of spices with a characteristic note of caraway. In the next stage of the projection, the fragrance becomes aromatic – we get a lot of wood notes mixed with cinnamon. The whole thing is warm and based on my favorite musk. The fragrance ends with a combination of vanilla, patchouli and tobacco notes, which makes the fragrance say goodbye to us in an interesting way. I am a huge fan of such multi-layered compositions.
The fragrance parameters are at a very good level. I am delighted with the durability and quality of this fragrance. All fans of long lasting compositions will love it. Nobody will be indifferent to the scent of Aziyade. It is a surprising and bold fragrance.
Salute is a citrus woody composition. The opening of the fragrance is a fantastic mix of citrus and powdery iris. The whole thing is complemented by the scent of wine sediment, which I encountered in perfumes for the first time. I was surprised to find out that it is a slightly sour fragrance that can complement the citrus so well. The smell is unique and fresh, although it does not lack an interesting depth. With time, it becomes slightly powdery, at times earthy, and this is certainly due to the combination of the scent of iris and oakmoss, which is one of my favorite ingredients.
The parameters are also very good here. I have never been a big fan of citrus, but in combination with such interesting notes we get a fragrance with high durability and long projection. Definitely a position that will surprise everyone.
Ambre Russe is an amber-smoky fragrance that welcomes us at the opening with a combination of Russian leather, coriander, cinnamon and notes of vodka and champagne. The whole thing is very intense, spicy and warming. The fragrance quickly moves to the next phase, where we get a combination of leather and incense with a lot of warming amber. The result is a leather amber scent, slightly moist at times. The smell is stunning and it surprises me with something different every time. I love the notes of vodka and champagne here, which I encountered for the first time in perfumes. In the last stage of the projection, we get a woody balsamic scent of juniper and birch. It is a spectacular ending to a very interesting composition.
The parameters are at a very good level, which is why this fragrance will appeal to all fans of long-lasting compositions with character. The fragrance is perfect for the fall and winter period as it envelops and warms us.
