Hunq is a Dutch brand of niche perfume. The project was created in 2021 and the brand’s offer includes 5 fragrance compositions so far. Today I present to you the fragrance # 005 MECHANIC, a composition that surprised me like no fragrance before.

# 005 Mechanic is an amber woody composition with ingredients such as red thyme, violet, petitgrain, patchouli, styrax, tobacco, Iso E Super and ambroxan. The opening of the fragrance is an interesting and very unusual combination of herbal thyme, animal notes and petitgrain. The smell is strong and definitely a very niche. I am standing in the middle of the road, on hot asphalt. I can smell the tires burning. My clothes are stained with all kinds of oils and car specifics.
With each passing moment, a violet starts to appear, which also gives an impression of being dusty or dirty. This combination of tobacco and violet is something incredibly interesting here and makes the fragrance alluring. I can’t get over this scent and I would never have thought that the smell of violet and tobacco would make me feel so dizzy. The smell in the final stage is also interesting, we have several synthetic notes, but patchouli and violet with tobacco are still present.
The fragrance parameters are very good. It is one of the few fragrance compositions that I could recommend to anyone as a blind purchase. I am delighted with such a great combination of high quality ingredients and I think # 005 Mechanic will be a huge hit with fans of niche fragrances.
