A venerable Roman chapel in the south of Italy or a monastery lost in the perfumed hills of Greece… Here, time has no importance. There is only eternity. On the cool flagstones, worn to a satiny polish over the centuries, the Mediterranean summer’s burning caress exalts an infinite love, almost holy. Suspended in the air a perfume of mysticism and mystery, hinting at a torrid, almost violent fever. Incense, olibanum and myrrh, immemorial aromas for entire, impetuous passion, ready for communion.
La Liturgie des Heures is an amber woody composition created by Jacques Flori. The composition of the fragrance includes such fragrance notes as incense, olibanum, myrrh, labdanum, cypress, green notes and musk. The opening of the fragrance belongs to fresh and natural cypress and incense. This combination creates an amazing beginning of the story that will take place on our skin. The smell brings to mind a wooden church, warm and pleasant. I really like that the ingredients are almost tangible. It is very easy to pick out individual elements and this makes literally everyone fall in love with this fragrance. In the next stage we also have warming myrrh and labdanum. The smell of olibanum is also with us. The smell is still intense, strongly smoky and balsamic. The parameters of the fragrance are sensational. The composition stays on the skin for up to 12 hours and will delight all fans of liturgical incense.
Peace and love forever… This “revival” perfume pays homage to the ’70s, the decade that transformed patchouli into the legendary scent of the counterculture. At all the festivals, from Wight to Woodstock, patchouli’s woody and mysterious richness sang the backup vocals for the rock mindset of a new generation of rebellious youth. Today, it has made its comeback, more hippie chic than ever and the boho-glam idol par excellence. It is a classic in its own right, with all of its audacity intact. Retro-nostalgia has never been so modern.
Psychédélique is an amber patchouli composition, whose creator is also Jacques Flori. Here in the composition we get such fragrance notes as: patchouli, amber, labdanum, geranium, rose, citrus, vanilla and musk. The opening of the fragrance is a mesmerizing note of patchouli that is dry and cold. The fragrance is rich in its composition, so expect the best quality patchouli. The scent warms up over time. In the background, I even feel slightly chocolate notes that perfectly harmonize with the cool accents of patchouli. The slightly powdery and sweet note of vanilla and amber deserves a lot of attention, which wonderfully warm up our senses and bring out the best nuances of patchouli in a wonderful way. The parameters of the fragrance are very good. The fragrance stays on my skin for up to 14 hours, although it was still noticeable after an intensive bath. If you are looking for a multi-layered patchouli fragrance, you will surely love Psychédélique.
