Jovoy is a French brand of niche perfumes. The project was launched in 2007 and 31 scent compositions have been released so far. I have prepared reviews of two fragrances for you to understand the spirit of the brand together.
In the beginning there’s vanilla, of course, but it’s an unexpected vanilla — subtle, ethereal, as if suspended, with a unique note of honeyed, powdery mimosa. Next comes a vanilla that’s gourmand but not heady, fruity but not baked, poised between a “real” vanilla ice cream and sweet promises that echo like languorous kisses. An unambiguous fragrance trail, conceived like a beckon, arousing the appetite, and casting a spotlight on whoever wears it. Whether your personality is discreet or, to the contrary, completely intense, this perfume is made for those who wish never to go unnoticed again.
“By day, I wear it like a signature: you know I’m there, my perfume identifies me. By night, it envelops me in sweet promises. It fills the space, slips into every corner of the mind — and makes others feel a void when I move away.” And if I’m no longer around and my absence has not yet become overpowering, it must be that I left something behind — a scarf, a jacket, a little bit of myself.”
Fire at Will is a sweet vanilla composition created by Vanina Muracciole. The composition of the fragrance includes such ingredients as vanilla, mimosa, brown sugar, amber, musk and vetiver. The opening of the fragrance is a mixture of warming mimosa and sweet powdery vanilla that create an incredibly aromatic aura around our skin. The smell is quite simple, although in my opinion it is a huge advantage. I know a lot of people who are looking for the perfect vanilla perfume that doesn’t smell like food at the same time. A masterful combination of mimosa absolute and vanilla makes Fire at Will a unique, warming and very cozy scent. The fragrance parameters are very good. The composition remains on the body for up to 10 hours.
As daylight starts to decline, a schooner is busy readying itself to dock. “This one must be a privateer…” mumble the old people assembled in the port. Sucked in by the promises of the amber and vanilla aromas of rum and whiskey, a buccaneer rushes out onto the dock and blends into the crowd.
A perfume of conquest and adventure, Pavillon Rouge is an ode to life. It invites conquering both day and night, without any fear and with the confidence of those who have braved death for some long-lost fortune or legendary glory.
Pavillon Rouge is a warm spicy composition created by Marie Schnirer. The fragrance includes such scent notes as: whiskey, tobacco, rum, spices, sesame, leather, coffee, tea, vanilla, ebony and benzoin. The opening of the fragrance belongs to whiskey and rum, which together with the hints of leather create an incredibly spicy and warm aroma. In the next stage, notes of tobacco and a lot of spices begin to be noticable. The entire composition is balanced with a sweet hint of vanilla. It is complemented by the nuances of dark ebony wood and the aroma of lightly roasted coffee. Pavillon Rouge is a composition in which you can feel the wealth of ingredients that combine in a wonderful way to create a unique perfume. The fragrance parameters are amazing. The composition stays on the body for up to 14 hours and in my opinion it will be a perfect fragrance for fall and winter.
