[Review] Jeroboam – Ligno & Vespero

In the beginning there was ORIGINO (Origin, in Esperanto)

ORIGINO is a base composed of a cocktail of musks, Invented by the independent perfumer Vanina Muracciole. This “ball of musks” concentrated into a perfume extract marks nothing less than a new beginning: for François Hénin, the founder of Jovoy perfumes and boutiques, it is the origin for creating a new olfactory universe: “What was nothing more than a creative olfactory exploration, a game between Vanina and me, led to the genesis of a completely new brand.” Very quickly, the pieces of the puzzle fell into place; at firstit was similar to a word game, in the form of advertising slogans.

Perfume is a weapon for those who know how to use it.

For François Hénin, the decision to offer perfume in its most potent concentration – its purest expression – came naturally. There is something noble about an extract: it is tailor-made to leave a memorable impression in its wake. This makes it the ideal concentration for those possessed of aflirtatious, provocative nature and strong character, for they understand that perfume is a weapon.

Ligno is a woody amber composition with aromatic ingrediants such as: patchouli, pine, clary sage, geranium, bergamot, saffron, castoreum, iris, mber, ambroxan, musk and labdanum. The opening of the fragrance is a warm mixture of patchouli, ambergris and aromatic clary sage. In the next stage, animal notes and the characteristic smell of geraniums begin to be felt. In the next stage, we get an interesting powdery aura. The fragrance is completed with cozy notes of musk, ambroxan and iris. The fragrance parameters are very good. The composition stays on the skin for up to 12 hours. Ligno is a fragrance in which you can feel the richness of ingredients.

Vespero is a woody citrus composition, which includes: leather, cedar, geranium, pink grapefruit, bergamot, jasmine, musk, ambergris and wood notes. The opening of the fragrance is a wonderful combination of citrus, which rests on an interesting base of leather and apple. In the next stage, there is a floral accent of jasmine and geranium. In the background, there are exquisite notes of musk. In the next stages, the fragrance reveals its woody face warmed with ambergris and patchouli. This great ending deserves my attention! Vespero is a fragrance with amazing parameters. The composition stays on the body for up to 12 hours and will delight all fans of long-lasting fragrances.
