Houbigant is a French luxury perfume brand that dates back to 1882. Currently, it has 35
compositions to its credit, the latest of which comes from 2021. Houbigant perfumes were created in cooperation with the creators such as Luca Maffei, Marcel Billot, Paul Parquet, Robert Bienaime, Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Mathieu Nardin, Jacques Fleury and Jean-Claude Ellena. House of Houbigant is the only brand that has been creating luxurious fragrances for four centuries. It all started in 1775 in Paris, when a young man, Jean-Francois Houbigant, hung a hand-painted sign above his shop with a painted basket full of flowers. This is how the story that continues to this day began. Houbigant’s compositions are greatly popular among the royal family and nobility.
Mon Boudoir is an amber and vanilla composition with a warm, powdery face. The opening of the fragrance belongs to vanilla and amber, which are bathed in notes of resins and vetiver. The fragrance is powdery and slightly sweet. Even though, it is a feminine composition, considering the amount of vanilla and flowers in the rock, I think men can also use it. The fragrance feels very warm and slightly powdery on my skin. The power of resins and woody notes is a great solution here and the delicate and sweet base of ylang-ylang, rose, jasmine and geranium is the perfect culmination of such an elegant fragrance. In the last stage of the projection, the fragrance becomes cozy and aromatic thanks to vetiver and musk, as well as powdery notes of iris and violet. The whole mixture is perfectly balanced. It is an olfactory spectacle that takes place on our skin, which we follow with interest.
The fragrance parameters are at a very good level. The composition stays on the body for up to 12 hours and is multi layered, which means long hours of interesting and inspiring tests. Mon Boudoir is a fragrance for people who appreciate elegance, delicacy of flowers and the class of vanilla and ambergris.
