Chabaud Maison de Parfum is a French niche perfume brand that was founded in 2014. Currently, the brand has 24 fragrance compositions to its credit which are very popular among lovers of high-quality perfumes. I have received 3 perfumes from this brand, thus, I am excited to enter the world of Chabaud fragrances.
Eau Ambrée is a warm citrus fragrance that includes ingredients such as lemon, neroli, bergamot, iris, rose, leather, amber and benzoin. The opening of the fragrance is a fresh and citrus blend combined with the depth of the leather and the warming effect of amber. In the background I sense a bitter accent of neroli and a faint sweetness of rose. After a few moments, the fragrance takes on a slightly powdery appearance, thanks to the wonderful note of iris, which is perfectly combined with the hint of leather.
Mysterious Oud is a wonderful wood composition with a beautiful and intriguing oriental charm. Here we find oud, sandalwood and labdanum. Sounds like a perfect mix, doesn’t it? An interesting accent here is jasmine and musk, which create a warm and pleasant balsamic coat. Oud in this edition is incredibly universal, so it will surely be loved by all fans of woody fragrances with a balsamic base and a slightly floral twist.
Patchouli 1973 is a fresh spicy fragrance with a woody aromatic face. The fragrance opens with the notes of lavender and orange and the base of patchouli and geranium – two ingredients that give earthy and dry aromas. The scent resounds on our skin, creating a wonderful story with an incredible depth. I am fascinated by heavy fragrances and I have been a fan of patchouli since the beginning of my adventure with perfumes. For me, this fragrance is the definition of an ideal heavy and aromatic perfume. In my opinion, this is the best composition of all three tested today.
