Atelier Oblique is a German brand of niche perfumes. The project was launched in 2017 and 11 fragrance compositions have been released so far. Today I have prepared for you a review of the incredibly woody Bohemian Woods fragrance.
Bohemian Woods blurs the lines between remaining in a place and leaving it behind. It is the scent of spiritual belongings, of expectations and decisions. The prelude of this extravagant perfume is made by chord of red Spanish pepper, South African freesia, the warm hue of the elemi-gum, rounded off by seductive anis-sweetness that resides in absinthe. In the heart note the scent of longing meets an exclusive mix of dark resins. Incense epitomises the belief in change, patchouli the free spirit. A tinge of saffron lends the perfume a luxurious poignancy and iris gives it its floral yet earthy and highly intellectual note. In the base composition, dark and dry woods, Argentine leather and Oriental musk play the passionate song of fiery adventures while South American vanilla dances to it.
Bohemian Woods is a composition created by Mathieu Nardin. The fragrance includes such notes as: elemi resin, red pepper, absinthe, freesia, incense, iris, saffron, patchouli, wood notes, leather, vanilla and musk. The opening of the fragrance is a beautiful woody smoke blend with lots of elemi resin and a sweet hint of freesia. The smell reminds me of a freshly burned tree with a sweet and autumn twist. In the next stage, the fragrance becomes even more deep. There are notes of leather and vanilla, although sweet and smoky notes still dominate. With each passing moment, we move away from the fire. There are aromatic notes of saffron and iris, which rest on an intense resinous base. In the last stage, the fragrance is slightly powdery and delicate, which reminds me of a campfire that burns out.
The fragrance parameters ar e very good. Bohemian Woods is a strong and woody composition that stays on my skin for up to 12 hours. It is a breathtaking autumn fragrance that takes us to aromatic forests with a single spray.
