Delta, stands for the delta of the Orinoco river, which was the entry place of the Spanish conquerors, towards the interior of this boundless and dangerous territory, which they called
Nueva Granada.
The essences that make up this fragrance speak of fresh and mysterious waters, impenetrable forests, lands to explore and new goods to be imported into Europe.
The great commercial expeditions in search of then highly sought-after ingredients such as cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla.
Delta is my first Mutis fragrance. It is an earthy-woody composition, in which we find such ingredients as: earthy notes, petitgrain, bergamot, violet leaf, angelica, cedar, oakmoss, cashmere wood, labdanum, vetiver, amber and opoponax. The opening of the fragrance is the aroma of wet earth with an accent of violet leaves and an interesting combination of petitgrain and bergamot. Woody notes reign in the background. In the next stage, the smell of earth becomes slightly less present and is enriched with notes of cedar, cashmere and vetiver. The further you go, the more cosy, warming and incredibly aromatic the scent becomes. I am delighted that Delta is a multi-layered fragrance and serves us a really interesting experience. In the last stage, the composition is slightly ozonic with powdery accents.
The parameters of the fragrance are very good. The fragrance lasts up to 14 hours on the skin and has great projection. The beautiful bottle deserves a lot of attention. Black and heavy glass is decorated with a blue stone cap, which is a distinctive sign of the Mutis brand. Each of the fragrances of this brand has a unique cap of a different color.
